Heaven is a little brighter today, Frances Ann Cameron went to be with our Lord on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Open Arms Clinic, 3921 W. Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington, Texas 76016 or a charity of your choice.

Frances was born in Fort Worth on Nov. 14, 1926, and lived here her whole life. Frances was a special woman who was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a blessing to everyone who ever knew her. Her smile would light up a room. In her youth she was the drum major for the Arlington Heights High School Band and she graduated June 1946. She enrolled in Texas Christian University, but her education was interrupted by World War II. Frances was married to Jack Cameron for 62 years. On their first date Frances and Jack went dancing and dancing became a big part of their wonderful life. They belonged to three dance clubs, Farando, Carousel, and Dinner Dance Club. Plus they could usually be found on the dance floor at Ridglea Country Club on the weekends. She was a wonderful homemaker for her family but found time to be very active in various PTA's, the Fort Worth Woman's Club, Western Hills Garden Club, and later she enjoyed volunteering at Harris Hospital in the surgical waiting room.

Survivors: Husband, Jack Cameron; children, Fran Martin and husband, Alan, Craig Cameron and wife, Gloria, Pam Keffer and husband, John; grandchildren, Ryan Martin and his wife, Mariah, Annemarie Martin, Shaun Cameron, Taylor Cameron, Cameron Keffer and Colton Keffer.
