FORT WORTH -- Billie Hall Fregia, 85, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Western Hills Baptist Church, 8500 Chapin Road, Fort Worth. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Western Hills Baptist Church.
Billie was born July 7, 1928. Her family lived near Seymour, where she attended school and became a cheerleader. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in education from TCU. Billie was an outstanding teacher who taught elementary school in Fort Worth for over 30 years. Her passion for education was evident by the number of students who recognized her later in life and expressed their appreciation for the way she touched their lives. After retirement she continued teaching and tutoring young students, working in her garden, sewing for her grandchildren, and volunteering at her church. Throughout her life she shared her love for education with her children and grandchildren. Billie was preceded in death by her first husband, Carlton Hall; and her second husband, Joe Fregia.
Survivors: Daughter, Sue Guthrie and husband, James; son, Carlton Hall; grandchildren, Trey McNeill and wife, Liz, Kelley McLean and husband, David, Mike Guthrie and wife, Nina, Tim Guthrie and wife, Eden, Devyn Hall, Jordyn Hall, and Radyn Hall; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles King and wife, Gaye; sister-in-law, Charlotte Hall; and a host of very special nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
