Naomia was born in Millsap on May 21, 1921, to Wesley and Janie Ford of Millsap. She was the seventh of eight children. On June 13, 1942, she married Beuford Roy Israel of Bennett. After their marriage in Mineral Wells, they moved in September to Fort Worth, where they lived until her death. She has one surviving sister and was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. She graduated from Millsap High School.
Naomia was a member of the Church of Christ since her early teens and for the last 62 years was a member of North Side Church of Christ in Fort Worth. Her Christian example of love, caring, sharing and hospitality was showered upon every family member, a host of friends and upon all those who were acquainted with her.
Survivors: Husband of 72 years, Beuford Roy Israel Sr.; children, Glenda Prestage of Lubbock, Janet Lane of Fairfax, Beuford Roy Israel Jr. of Wimberley and Judy Jackson of Mansfield; sister, Eula Mae Phillips of Weatherford; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
