Pamela Kaye James Brashear, 67, was taken peacefully by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, June 26, 2014, while at home in Fort Worth surrounded by family. Pam battled cancer since 2012.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Monday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood.
Pam was born in Mineral Wells, May 28, 1947. She married Gary Brashear on July 1, 1966. This July 1st they would celebrate 48 years. Pam was a longtime member at West Freeway Church of Christ together with her husband, Gary. She was a student of Bible Study Fellowship for several years alongside her two daughters.
Pam will be remembered most for her love of Jesus Christ, inner strength, creativity, and love and dedication to her family, friends and dogs. Pam always tried to see the best in others and had a heart willing to help at any cost.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Pearl James, and sister, Judy Drake.
Survivors: Husband, Gary Brashear; daughters, Tammy Humphries and Melanie Lawrence; grandsons, Dustin, Brandon, Lucas and Zachary, all of Fort Worth; sister-in-law, Saundra Hickey and husband, Billy, of Godley; two nieces; two nephews; and numerous family and friends.
