HALTOM CITY -- Rev. A. Cameron Ainsworth Jr., 77, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Riverside Advent Christian Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood.
Memorials: The family requests that donations be made to Berkshire Christian College, 40 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill, Mass., 01830.
Cameron was born Feb. 27, 1937, in Ashland, Maine. He pastored churches in the Advent Christian denomination for 54 years, serving in Florida, New Mexico, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Tennessee and Texas. He was a Gospel Magician and was instrumental in establishing the Fellowship of Christian Magicians in Fort Worth.
He was a man of grace, wit and kindness, a fine preacher who will be deeply missed.
Survivors: Wife, Janice Ainsworth; daughter, Tracy Ainsworth; son, Ariel Cameron Ainsworth III and wife, Lisa; grandson, Cameron Joseph Ainsworth; sister, Connie Ainsworth Jones and husband, Jack; and 11 nieces and nephews.
